How many skins do we carry over our skin?
This piece shows how we are wrapped in the multiple skins we have created throughout our lives and our history: physical skins, but also conceptual ones; skins that protect us but also enclose us, skins that ultimately become our interface with the world.
Will we find anything when we take off every skin, or are we only their sum?

Inside a cylindrical membrane with 360° projection, the dancer deforms the surface. Three sensors measure these deformations to manipulate the projected images. A series of lights and cameras inside the structure alternates between shadows and projections of the naked body within. When the lights come on, the shadow becomes visible and images of the interior are recorded; these are projected when the lights go out, creating a visual loop between what happens inside and what can be seen outside.
